If you prefer a more rustic pesto, leave some chunkier pieces. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the ricotta cheese, grated parmesan, garlic (if using), a pinch of salt and a grind of black pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While the mixer is running, slowly pour in the extra virgin olive oil until you obtain a thick and smooth cream. If the pesto is too thick, you can add a spoonful of pasta water to make it more fluid. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cooking the fusilli<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and cook the fusilli according to the time indicated on the package, until al dente.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pasta seasoning<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drain the fusilli, keeping aside a little of the pasta water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return the pasta in the pot and add the ricotta cheese and hazelnut pesto.
